Earth, our home
Our planet went through several stages before it became the way it is now, At 4.5 billion years old, it can be difficult to understand just how old Earth is.

Life exists in many different forms in soils and on the surface of the land, in water and in the air. All species on earth have not yet been discovered. Fully 1.8 million species are known today.

The idea that planets beyond Earth might host life is an ancient one, though historically it was framed by philosophy as much as physical science.

The late 20th century saw two breakthroughs in the field. The observation and robotic spacecraft exploration of other planets and moons within the Solar System has provided critical information on defining habitability criteria and allowed for substantial geophysical comparisons between the Earth and other bodies.

What If we could colonize a new planet? and even better, what If we found life on other planets?
